Herpes is very unpleasant disease, which attacks lots of people daily. The reason is - it is rather easy to get virus. Though there are two types of virus: Simplex 1 (oral ) and Simplex 2 (genital ).
The first type attacks the area on or around the mouth. It is considered to be cold herpes, as it can appear when a person gets cold, though it had attacked the body much earlier, but wasn't active. Also oral HSV can attack when you don't wash your hands ones and put them close to your mouth - you have it!
You get genital herpes after a skin-to-skin contact with a person, who already has it. When the virus is already in a person's body, it takes from 2 to 20 days for it to develop the first symptoms. It's commonly known that the first HSV attack is very mild and lots of infected people simply even don't know they have such an unpleasant disease.
The most common HSV symptoms are red and very sensitive skin and the appearance of blisters or bumps. The lightest touch can cause a lot of pain. It feels scratchy all the time (though it's prohibited to scratch the affected area, because you may worsen the situation). The affected area can even burn, but this unpleasant feeling can't be removed till you heal the disease completely. The blisters have to open at first and then only you can heal them as a doctor will prescribe.
Herpes symptoms can appear together with the flu symptoms. The often headaches and fever are commonly reported about while experiencing HSV. Those patients, who have herpes often suffer from swollen glands and muscle ache too.
These are most common symptoms for oral herpes. But some of them such as flu symptoms appear during the genital virus too. Genital HSV also causes painful urinating.
Symptoms of herpes for women are sometimes much more unpleasant. They include developing blisters inside vagina, which is very painful phenomenon. Terrible discomfort may be caused by these blisters. We should also add that women have more painful and unpleasant herpes symptoms than men do. Their outbreaks are longer and very often HSV symptoms in vagina area are misrecognized or confused with the symptoms of other diseases.
Though herpes symptoms might be unnoticed, the disease itself causes the sores on the skin. Those can be rather big, painful and visible. You heal those sores with different medical waxes which are available in any drug store.
